Ticket sales to the general public will open on November 14th. Please take note: The Curtis Auditorium at the School Of Music only has about 450 seats!<\/p>\n<p>It is an all late 20th and up-to-the-minute 21st century music show, with, as far as I am aware, only two of the composers older than Yours Truly &#8211; that&#8217;s sort of unusual for a &#8220;classical&#8221; recital:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> <em>Ilijas<\/em> by Nebo\u0161ja Jovan \u017divkovi\u0107, a Serbian percussionist and composer based in Germany<\/li>\n<li> a <em>Waterphone improvisation<\/em> by Dame Evelyn herself<\/li>\n<li> <em>Orlogeria Aureola<\/em> by herself and Cellist, Conductor and Composer Philip Shepard<\/li>\n<li> <em>Tamazcal<\/em> by the Mexican &#8220;World Music&#8221; Composer Javier Alvarez<\/li>\n<li> <em>Barracuda Solo<\/em> by Jacob TV<\/li>\n<li> her own arrangement of <em>Liber Tango<\/em> by Astor Piazzolla<\/li>\n<li> <em>Prim<\/em> by Askell Masson from Iceland<\/li>\n<li> her own arrangement of <em>Clapping Music<\/em> by Steve Reich<\/li>\n<li> <em>Rhythmic Caprice<\/em> by the Marimba pioneer Leigh Howard Stevens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>A solo percussion recital?<\/em> Yes, Dame Evelyn can do it! She is the first Solo Percussionist in the World &#8211; a career she actually created herself.<br \/>\n<em>Profoundly deaf?<\/em> That&#8217;s true &#8211; that&#8217;s why I nominated her the Patron Saint of The Cork City Gamelan.
